PS Vita Official Release Date!

Here it is: the official PlayStation Vita release date, straight from the mouths of Sony themselves.

February 22, 2012!

Okay, it’s not like the holiday release we were hoping for,  but four months away isn’t too far. Already pre-orders are through the roof so make sure you preorder the PS Vita before it releases!

The PS Vita is a revolutionary handheld gaming device that incorporates social networking, gaming, and reality into brand new ways. It uses a multi-touch OLED screen, dual analog sticks, dual cameras, a rear touch-pad, and so much more.

RAGE Release Date

There are so many release dates coming up for PlayStation games. One of which is October 4, 2011, the day that RAGE releases.

RAGE the video game is a combination of racing and first-person shooters, the best two genres. For racing, you get to upkeep a buggy, by buying upgrades and styling it.

In the world of RAGE, Earth has been struck by an asteroid. All that’s left is a corrupt government, mutants, and bandits, and you have to fight your way against them.

For endless hours of entertainment, you can race friends or non-player characters, co-op in campaign or play single-player, or play multi-player battles. Whatever mood you’re in, go for it!

PSVita October Release Date

When will the PlayStation Vita release? Sony hasn’t chiseled it down to an exact date besides Holiday 2011, but a recent flyer released by the UK Blockbuster puts a date on it: October 28.

This sounds like a solid date, but it’s unofficial as well as a UK date. A while back, a developer implied that the Vita should release in US a few months before Europe. A few months from October 28 would be…well, today. And we obviously don’t have it.

So let’s just say: October-end of November as a solid release plan. Why? Well, Sony has brains: they need to release the PSV and PlayStation Display before November 25, Black Friday and the biggest shopping day of the year.

That could be anywhere from a few weeks to day of as a PSV release date.

But, remember, the PlayStation Vita preorders are bigger now than for any other platform that has released since preordering became popular. That means you can guarantee your own device on the day of the release, with shipping to receive it the day of, without having to camp out over night or fight the mad crowds in stores as they try to get their grubby hands on your goods.

You can also preorder Vita games, so you can get the ones you are anticipating most on the same day. After all, it’d be pointless to have a Vita without a game.
