There has been speculation across the web about when to expect the PlayStation Vita. At the unveiling at E3, Sony said to expect it holiday 
season 2011, but never gave an exact date.
A UK gaming website allows for pre orders and says that the PS Vita will release on November 4, 2011. If this is actually the UK release date, the US date should not be that far behind.
But Amazon PS Vita Preorder page says December 31, 2011, as well as for the release date of Uncharted: Gold Abyss, which is one of the first games to launch with the Vita.
If the Amazon date is true, then Sony would be missing the most important sales season of the year. This makes me think that Sony just hasn’t put an official date out there yet, because it would be logical to aim for a pre-Black Friday launch.

So far we know it will be before December 31, 2011. We’re hoping for a November release though. We’ll keep you updated.
